Not Good For:
Acne-Prone Skin: While many people with acne-prone and sensitive skin can use cleansing oils without issues, some individuals might find that certain oils can exacerbate their conditions.
Those Allergic to Specific Ingredients: If you have known allergies to any of the ingredients in JCO, it's essential to avoid using it to prevent skin reactions.
People Who Prefer Foaming Cleansers: Some individuals might prefer traditional foaming cleansers over oil-based ones, and JCO might not align with their cleansing preferences.
Those Seeking Deep Exfoliation: While JCO can help remove impurities, it might not provide the same level of exfoliation as dedicated exfoliating products.
Individuals with Fragrance Sensitivity: If you have sensitivity to fragrances, make sure to check the product's ingredient list, as there is a very faint smell of Bergamot and Eucalyptus. But it is very soft not overpowering.
During a Rosacea Flare: I would not recommend Japanese Cleansing Oil during a severe rosacea flare. But if you have rosacea that is under control, Japanese Cleansing Oil is fantastic. (Sonia has rosacea and uses this daily.)
For best results, follow these steps:
Shake the bottle thoroughly: The JCO is formulated with both oil and water components. By shaking the bottle well, you ensure that the oil and water emulsify, creating an effective cleansing mixture.
Dispense 2-3 pumps into your palms: Take an appropriate amount of JCO, usually 2-3 pumps, and place it into the palms of your hands. For heavy makeup, use 4-5 pumps.
Massage into dry skin: Apply the JCO directly to your dry skin. Gently spread the oil across your face, allowing it to come into contact with all areas where makeup, dirt, oil, and sunscreen might be present.
Massage gently until everything is dissolved: Using gentle circular motions, massage the JCO into your skin. The oil will work to dissolve and lift away impurities, makeup, and sunscreen.
Rinse thoroughly: After massaging for a sufficient amount of time, rinse your face with lukewarm water. The JCO will emulsify with water, turning into a milky texture that easily rinses away, leaving your skin feeling fresh and clean.
