Like most brides, you’re likely to have a lot on your mind on your wedding day. Rest assured, Sonia Roselli and her professional artistry team can make things easier. Instead of taking your bridal party to a salon, why not let us come to you? We’ve specialized in on-location beauty services for more than 10 years. Our reputation is unmatched.

What makes our makeup artists different

• All of Sonia’s makeup artists & hair stylists come from commercial, film and TV backgrounds. Sonia is very particular who represents her brand so we are very excited to have the best team in the city!  We pride ourselves in running a very dependable boutique agency for brides. We don’t have a large team but the team we do have is amazing! Department store makeup artists are not trained to do makeup, they are trained to sell makeup. All of our artists are professionally trained to apply makeup for film, TV and digital media.

Wedding Day Services

• At this time we do not offer “in studio” weddings.

• All of our makeup artists travel to your location on the wedding day. We bring the makeup studio to your location so that you and your friends may get ready in the comfort of your own home or hotel.

Minimums:

• We do ask that a minimum of the bride + 3 for downtown locations and bride + 5 for all suburb locations for all artists/stylists.

• Your travel fee is built into the bride rate unless your destination is more than 40 miles round trip, then there would be an additional travel fee.  If this is the case, we will need to do a custom quote for you.

• Sonia does not have a minimum for downtown weddings. She will do a “bride only”. But for downtown weddings only.

• Parking fees are required to be paid by the bride for all weddings/events. You may charge their parking fee to your hotel room for your convenience.

Experience of our Makeup Artists & Hairstylists

We get asked this question all the time.

• All of our artists have several years of print and commercial backgrounds. They have the most experience in what makeup will look best for professional wedding photos. They are booked on commercial work during the week with celebrities, advertising campaigns and magazine editorials. All have 7 plus years of experience as a professional makeup artist.
• Makeup Artist and Hairstylist Assistants

• If you are having a large party and need an assistant to accompany your wedding hair and makeup artists, assistants are $100 per hour per artist/stylist.

Early Morning Fees

• Any artists/stylists starting before 7am will incur a $100 early morning fee per stylist. Start times before 5am will incur a $250 fee per stylist, all to be paid directly to the artist the day of the event.

Wedding Day Makeup Trials

• Trials are done at our location of 7363 N Greenview Ave, Chicago IL 60626. We are near Loyola University on the north side of Chicago. We are 1/2 block east from the Jarvis red line. It takes approximately 30 minutes by train from downtown Chicago.

• (Please note that Saturday trials are nearly impossible as we are all on location servicing our Chicago brides.)

• You may book a trial run with one of our artists/ stylists if you would like to try them out before you book your wedding. If for any reason you are disappointed in your trial, please let us know so that we may make arrangements for you to try another artist/stylist.  We want you to be completely happy and comfortable with your choice. This is a very important day for you and we want to be sure you love your look and your artist/stylist. But we usually get it right the first time!

• If you feel comfortable with our team, another option is to book your wedding over the phone and do a trial closer to your wedding day. Both options are very popular with our brides. About 50% of our brides do it this way.

• Makeup Trials are $95 per service or $75 per service if you book the day of your trial run. If you book over the phone and do a preview closer to your wedding day, your trial will automatically be reduced to $75.

• If you book your makeup and/or hair over the phone it is suggested you come in for a preview 6-8 weeks in advance. This way if you want to make any last minute changes we have time to plan.

• Sonia Roselli is available every Tuesday from 11am-7pm for complimentary consultations via SKYPE™. She will chat with you about your wedding day beauty style and make suggestions on makeup color and hairstyles for you. No obligations. Please contact us for more information. • We match our bride’s personal style to an artist we feel will do an incredible job. For example, Sonia is known world wide for her work with Asian brides. Rebecca is known for soft, natural romantic looks, Abbey is fantastic with women of color. Jessica is known for her Kim Kardashian eyes and Korena is known for her polished hair designs. (You get the idea.) We like to get to know each of our clients and match them with the best makeup artist possible. Please let us know your personal style and feel free to send photos of makeup ideas, along with photos of yourself, wedding dress and anything else you may think would help us, help you.

Wedding Deposits & Final Payments

• To reserve your artist/stylist a deposit of 40% of total services will be required to officially book your date. Deposits must be paid with a credit/debit card. We accept all major credit cards.

• Final payments should be made with cash or check made out to the individual artist. Once your appointment is set, you will be given full instructions on how to do this once your contract has been signed. You will also get an appointment email reminder with all the instructions for your reference.

Wedding Day Timing & Schedules

• So that we may do our best work, please allow 30 minutes per person per service. If you have hair and makeup scheduled together that can run simultaneously. For example, for 6 total services a total of 3 hours. We then add an additional 10 minutes per person for any changes for an additional 1 hour “buffer” time. So for 6 people we spend approximately 4 hours with your party.

• Creating a schedule is not necessary and can actually cause delays. Most delays are by the “scheduled” time slot person not being in the room when artist is ready to go. To keep things running smoothly, we ask that you have everyone ready when the artist arrives. When airbrushing makeup, artists tend to pull by skin tone and work from lightest to the darkest or vice versa.

• In our 10 years of experience, parties that go to a salon and then come back for makeup run severely late 80-90% of the time. In a salon, you are competing with weekly cutting and color clients and salons can run behind, even if it’s your wedding day. For a stress free morning, we highly suggest having your hair person get ready in your hotel/home with your makeup artist. Your hairstylist doesn’t have to be from our team if you have a hair stylist you love, but ask if your stylist can come to you. But if that isn’t an option and you would like to use one of our hair stylists we love that too! It creates a stress free morning.  Cost wise it may be a bit more than going to a salon but the convenience is well worth the price.
